Let’s confirm this packet fits
TNPath builds packets for Canadian citizens applying under six TN professions, at a U.S. port of entry or airport preclearance.
About you
Use your name exactly as it appears in your Canadian passport.
Your credentials
Each profession lists the credentials it accepts — a degree, a licence, a designation or experience. Add whichever you hold. Adding more than one is fine.
The category pairs the diploma with three years of experience in the field.
The experience route is shown with statements or letters from previous employers or clients.
Nurses also need a VisaScreen healthcare certificate (through CGFNS) for U.S. admission — the guide covers this.
The Economist category accepts a bachelor’s degree (or higher) only — there is no licence or experience route. Make sure your degree is in economics.
Use the exact names shown on your certificate and diploma. TNPath doesn’t decide whether your credentials are sufficient.
The U.S. employer
These details go into the letter’s header and the company description.
Who will sign the letter
The signer is usually your hiring manager, a finance leader or HR. Someone who can confirm the details if asked.
The job offer
Match these to your offer letter. Your employer will confirm them.
What you’ll actually do
List 4 to 8 main responsibilities, one per line. Start from your job description. Tap a suggestion to add it, then edit it so it matches the real job.
Where you’ll apply, and who’s coming
This tailors your port-of-entry guide and checklist.
